I am trying to improve my English skill. Since I worked for Japanese, my grammar totally broke and I made a lot ugly mistakes in my English conversation.
Soon I will finish my master degree, so I will have a lot time to study English. My target is to learn English everyday, so I can improve it day by day.
Today, I was searching English on lesson at the internet, and I found an interesting grammar lesson.
This lesson is about “article a/an and the” in English language. Actually after I read it, I still confuse should I use the or not in my sentence, but the interesting thing that I found is that it is wrong grammar for “a good advice”, we can say either “good advice” or “a piece of good advice”.
Why is that ?
A, an and the article is use before Noun. There are uncountable noun and countable noun. For uncountable noun we have to use particle “the”, instead of countable noun we have to use “a/an.”
Since advice is uncountable noun, we can not use particle “a” before it, therefore we only can say “good advice” or ” a piece of good advice”.
